Far East

Compassion Radio maintains a 60-year-old relationship with Evangel Children’s Home in Hong Kong. The funds for this Christian home were raised by the founder of this ministry, Wilbur Nelson. It was built and supported originally for refugee orphans from the Chinese mainland whose families fled the Communist takeover. It has continuously provided a faith-based home for orphans, and abandoned, neglected and abused children. Some of those who now head up the direction of the home grew up within the home. It has produced many finely trained musicians. For many years Compassion Radio had the joy of having one of the graduates of the home on our California staff. She is now in practice as a Grief Counselor. Continue to pray for this home, which the government would very much like to take over and change.
