Through the generosity of Compassion Radio partners, Norm and Cher were able to travel into war-torn Albania during the Kosovo War, to meet with Christians and pastors who refused to leave the country but chose instead to stay with their parishioners. They were able to distribute soccer balls and hacky-sacks to the children who had no school and no playgrounds that were safe to go to. They distributed aid to refugee shelters and sang worship and praise songs to the Lord and prayed over the Muslim refugees there. They were able to bring help to an underground Christian radio station that continued to broadcast all through the war.
