When
some of the world's largest organizations can't find a way in, Compassion Radio
is already there.
The
generous giving of thousands of people just like you are bringing
God's word, compassion and relief to some of the world's toughest places.
Here’s
one of the places where the action is right now.
A
“transformational university” in Khartoum, Sudan, launched on the initiative of
Compassion Radio and
a Sudanese international economist, is a major step
closer to realization today. Under the leadership of Dr. James Jennings, a team
of 12 American PhDs engaged in an academic dialogue conference with Sudanese
Professors in Khartoum on September 5-6, 2006. Issues of education, politics,
culture and religion were discussed.
A
subsequent conference on business and economic development will be led by Norm
Nelson in Khartoum later in the year.
The
conferences are preparatory to the establishment of Jafaar al-Nimeiri
University, named for the former President of Sudan, who asked Norm Nelson,
president of Compassion Radio to help him establish an institution advocating
democratic principles, free
market economics and human rights.
Please give to
support the ministry of Compassion Radio in Sudan and around the world.
And pray
for the success of this significant project! |
