The orphan crisis in South Africa is growing at an alarming rate. Due to AIDS, rape and prostitution for survival, children are being orphaned and abandoned in overwhelming numbers. It is estimated that by the year 2009, there will be over 1 million orphans due to the AIDS epidemic alone!

How can one small mission church make a difference in such a huge problem?

Compassion Radio HAS ENABLED DOOR OF HOPE TO PURCHASE THIS WONDERFUL HOME FOR THE BABIES!!

We thank you for your help so far by completing your pledges, and ask you to consider continuing a monthly pledge to complete the cost of purchasing the home and for operating costs.

This beautiful home has been purchased through the pledges of loving and generous Compassion Radio listeners and others who long to see these little lives and souls saved..

The lovely yard is an oasis of God's beauty such as these children would never have seen.

These precious children now have a Christian home in a land where most of their generation will not survive.

Volunteer with Maria in the new home.

It is secured for safety.

Workers, volunteers and babies in the new home.

How will such a small church be able to keep up with the demand for new staff and volunteers, as well as meeting the other myriad needs of the community?

In Africa, there is an axiom, "Your congregation will be as large as your church." We learned that, culturally, people have a need to know everyone 'in the family'. They do not like a church which has multiple services. They also do not care about the length of a service, but they do not like to stand. Once it is known that the seats are always full, the church has a hard time growing.

This wonderful mission church is packed to the maximum! They need more room, but there is no more room on the property to expand the building.
