Terrorism in America

9/11/2001

Dear Friends,

Along with you, we are numbed by the events that have just transpired in New York and Washington. Each of our lives is truly a mist that can vanish in a moment. Praise God for the hope we have for our eternal souls, once we have trusted Christ as Savior.

We do have a God in whom we can trust “for such a time as this.” And we trust His sovereignty in ALL things. No matter what evil for which this was meant, we trust Him to work it for the good of those who trust Him, and ultimately for His Glory.

And so, we encourage you, with the following words, to keep your eyes on Christ, to keep your trust in His eternal promises, to rededicate your time and efforts to reaching those who do not yet know Him, and to serving His worldwide body.

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 1:7)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Prov. 3:5)

“ ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways’, declared the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts….I will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (Is. 55:7)

If you are directly affected by these events, and we can uphold you in prayer in anyway, please contact us at Prayer@CompassionRadio.com. Our staff and prayer team are ready to stand with you.

Lovingly,

Norm and Cher Nelson
